What Makes Paintball Pistols Work
Looking similar to that of a regular rifle, paintball pistols come in many sizes and types. These pistols shoot colorful liquid paint filled bullets up to 300 feet per second. Splattering a bright six inch paint mark on its target, these guns are fun but make a great mess.
For play only, these guns are only able to unload the gel cap like bullets. It is never a good idea to try to shoot actual bullets from these pistols. They are normal rifle look-a-likes only they have a shorter barrel and more attachments. Purchases can be made through an in store retailer or via the Internet.
The handle and trigger of the guns are located attached to the barrel. On the backside of the barrel is where the pressurized gas container is located, which propels the colorful bullets from the pistol. Carbon dioxide, regular air or nitrogen could be used in this container.
Holding hundreds of colorful paint balls is the container at the very top of the pistol itself. There are so many different colors to choose from and they range in price depending if they are purchased online or at a retailer. There are many online retailers that give discounts on shipping and offer other great deals. Some retailers even let customers mix the colors of their paint balls.
A bolt on the inside of these pistols is what loads and controls the balls in the chamber. This bolt also moves the hammer which puts heavy pressure on the intake valve of the gas or air chamber. These parts have to work at the same time in order for the gun to fire properly. If the pistol does not work properly, unwanted injury and damage could occur.
A caulker and the trigger are the two mechanics that pull it all together in the end. If only one part of these pistols does not work properly, the entire pistol will not function the right way. It is very important to keep these guns clean and in proper working condition, so they work and last longer.
These paintball pistols are able to shoot gel cap like balls of many colors up to three hundred feet per second. When the balls make contact, they leave a six inch mark of paint wherever they hit. It is a good idea to wear safety glasses and protective equipment when playing paintball. All safety gear should be purchased with the pistols and colorful bullets.
